About Kathy Sterne

I was born in Washington, DC. and raised in Lanham, Maryland. My family moved to the beautiful County of Stafford in the summer of 1975, as we found it to be a rural and very close knit community where everyone looks out for their neighbor. Over the years, I have watched the county grow, but I still find that the people of this County, no matter how big it gets, still act with a small town heart and continue to look out for our neighbors.

I met my husband, Charles and we married in April 1990. We just recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and look forward to many more. Charles has lived in Stafford his whole life and built our home next door to the house he lived in with his mother, father and brother. His family has lived in Stafford County for over 150 years, many have had thriving businesses in our County. Charles has worked for the City of Fredericksburg Fire Department for 29 years and currently holds the position of Battalion Chief. We have two children, Ashley who is the Assistant Manager for Planet Fitness in Eagle Village and is studying for her degree in Marketing. Our Son, Michael, is a graduate of Stafford High School, Michael will be attending New River College this fall to continue his education working towards a Criminal Justice Degree and continue his Baseball aspirations.
